He would have done better if he'd left out those vile (void) casts
in the C program.

Subject: je ferai TCP/IP pour manger

well, i finally did it after all this time. i got my sign and sat in
opera metro, in paris, for an hour and a half. it read:

  je ferai TCP/IP
    pour manger

           merci
          SYN|ACK

after i while i got bored and added some (bad) japanese:

    TCP/IP wo dekimasu yo!!
    tabetai desu ne!

and then some C:

	while ((ns = accept(s)) != -1) {
		(void)write(ns, "merci\n", 6);
		(void)close(ns);
	}

[gee i hope i got that right, it's been a while :-]
[bugger, it returns an address and a length,
well, i'd run out of room anyway]

and then an english footnote:

    WILL DO TCP/IP FOR FOOD

all for the grand total of 8 francs (5+2+1)!
